Who Are We
Welcome to The Confident Hire. I'm Aisha Ortiz, the founder and driving force behind this initiative. I created this company to help early to mid-level professionals navigate their job search and new hire journey with confidence and clarity. My mission is to empower you to recognize your worth and present your best self at every stage of your career journey.
The inspiration behind The Confident Hire came from a deeply personal experience. I was headhunted for what I thought was my dream role, and it came down to me and one other candidate. When I wasn't selected, the feedback was clear: I needed to be more confident in my experience, skill set, and the value I could bring to the employer. It was a crushing moment, but it was also a pivotal one. I realized that my lack of confidence had cost me the job.
As a former Recruiter, I've seen countless candidates struggle with the same issue. During phone screens, in-person interviews, and preparation sessions for meeting with hiring teams, the lack of confidence was often evident. Similarly, as a Resume Writer, I encountered many clients who undervalued themselves during our consultations, despite their impressive experience and expertise.

About Me
Aisha Ortiz is an experienced HR Executive with over 15 years of experience as a Recruiter and HR Business Partner for Fortune 500 companies in various industries including financial services, healthcare, not-for-profit and marketing & advertising.
Additionally, Aisha has expertise in working with small businesses creating and establishing recruiting procedures, executing employee engagement initiatives, designing and launching onboarding, orientation and new hire programs and processes and creating and implementing policies.
